FINANCIAL CONSULTANT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Financial Analysis and Planning:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of import and export trading to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop strategic financial plans tailored to the specific needs and objectives of clients in the import-export industry.

Trade Finance Advisory:

  • Provide expert guidance on trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Performance Bonds, Bank Guarantees, and other SWIFT messages (MT799, MT734, MT754)
  • Assist clients in structuring trade finance transactions to minimize risk and optimize cash flow.

Import-Export Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of import-export regulations and compliance requirements governing international trade.
  • Advise clients on customs procedures, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the import-export industry.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing proactive financial guidance and support to address clients’ evolving needs and challenges.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for import-export transactions and authorizing the draft instruments prepared by the Associate Financial Consultant.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in import-export and manufacturing finance.
  • Continuously enhance skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in trade finance, with a focus on import-export industry.
  • Proven expertise and knowledge in trade finance instruments and regulations (UCP 600, URDG 758)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Display a flexible approach to work, is adaptable and welcoming to change
  •  Takes personal responsibility for tasks and actions
  • Good prioritization and time management skills
  •    Team player with good organisational skills and a rigorous eye for detail

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree / Professional qualification (CDCS)
  • Fluency in Hindi / Malayalam
